My piece of land once used to be covered by the Atlantic Rainforest.  Then, there were sugarcane plantations and cacau plantations in the area.  Part of the land was converted to grass for animals.  A large part of it is currently Atlantic Rainforest in re-generation, large parts of that have an understorage of cacau.  My aim will be to re-generate the original Atlantic Rainforest and to convert some of the open patches into food forests that are based on the principles of permaculture.

To better understand what permaculture is all about and how it works I suggest you watch the video of Geoff Lawton, as he goes through permaculture design principles and shows examples of how it can work.

My goal is to create an environment that is sustainable, re-generates itself and matures, friendly for animals and people, diverse, and abundant.  It should be a design that works well with Nature, using the patterns of Nature and becoming more fertile and abundant as the years pass.
